Hylland Capital was recently quoted in the Wall Street Journal for an article on the use of preferred shares in your investment portfolio. Preferred shares may offer some benefits to some investors; such as a lower tax rate on dividends, higher yields and lower volatility. But they also have some added risks, as I point out in my comments in this Wall Street Journal article:
